Thus, the Drop Dash was created so that players can maintain their momentum and keep the flow going without having to constantly stop to charge up a traditional Spin Dash. When testing out the game, he noticed a lot of new players, when reaching steep or tall slopes they could not get through, would resort to using the Spin Dash, thus causing them to come to a complete stop to charge it up.
